Goldfield Hotel
Welcome to Goldfield Hotel
Goldfield Hotel stands as a haunting emblem of the American West’s ghost town lore. Nestled at 69 Columbia Ave, Goldfield, NV, this 4.6-rated hotel beckons travelers who seek more than just a place to stay—they seek a journey into history and imagination. The hotel’s faded grandeur whispers stories of a bygone era, where prospectors and pioneers once roamed.
Visitors describe Goldfield Hotel as a captivating relic amid a sparsely inhabited town. Its weathered walls and grand yet deteriorating façade evoke a unique charm that captivates history buffs and ghost town enthusiasts alike. Paul Vivas highlights its appeal as the quintessential ghost town hotel, ideal for those returning from Death Valley looking for an authentic step back in time. The allure of abandoned buildings intertwined with still-living local spirit lends a surreal atmosphere, distinctly different from typical tourist spots.
Echoing this sentiment, David Goldenberg’s reflection on its potential restoration parallels the revival stories of nearby historic hotels, infusing hope for a future where Goldfield Hotel could once again shine in its original splendor. This deep connection to heritage and possibilities enriches the hotel’s narrative, inviting a broader reflection on preservation and memory.
The hotel’s offering goes beyond lodging and history. Guests have expressed eager anticipation for interior tours, and the surrounding town offers moments of quiet awe, from encounters with wild burros to imagining the bustling life the place once held. The bittersweet beauty seen by Stacey Cross captures the town’s delicate balance between decay and life.
Goldfield Hotel is more than aged bricks and beams; it is a vessel of stories, hopes, and ghostly echoes that provoke both curiosity and respect. It invites visitors to not merely observe but to feel the pulse of a living ghost town—an experience that lingers long after departure. Whether for a quiet retreat, a brush with paranormal intrigue, or a dive into Nevada’s mining past, the Goldfield Hotel offers a singular blend of history, mystery, and enduring spirit.

Looking for a ghost town hotel ? This is it !!! Coming back from Death Valley we wanted to stop in a ghost town. Goldfield is actually still inhabited but by very few people, it has a few abandoned buildings, this one being the most epic and legendary of the lot. Well worth the little stop I believe!
I have stopped many times to marvel at the splendor of what once was. This grand old hotel needs to be resurrected in similar fashion as the Belvada Hotel in Tonopah, which I've stayed at. It was purchased for $1.00 by its current owners, who also own the Hotel Mizpah across the street, in a similar state of disrepair as the Goldfield Hotel. Anything is possible, and I hope to also see it restored to its original splendor one day. Great piece of architecture!!
Oh how i hope to one day get to go in i just love coming to goldfeild and imagine it in the heyday of is prime and what she will look like when all fixed up. One day I hope to spend the night there
